Changes ahead for VET trainers and assessors

The VET sector announced changes to the Language, Literacy, and Numeracy elective in the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment; this will now become a core elective in the qualification from July 2014.

Innovation & Business Skills Australia is developing updated training products to include the new package that addresses foundation skills. With the inclusion of TAELL401A in the TAE40110, trainers will need to update their skills to include competency in this unit.

To continue working as a trainer you need to be able to demonstrate competency in the TAELL401A. You can find out more details by downloading the booklet from www.ibsa.org.au.
