Moodle has introduced the new Moodle Educator Certification program to help users become more confident and proficient at using Moodle.
The program is an excellent opportunity to fine tune your Moodle skills and receive officially recognised badges and certifications for your efforts.
The Moodle Educator Certification (MEC) program is a comprehensive teaching and learning curriculum designed to help you develop transferable knowledge and skills to be effective educators in today’s growing digital workplace.
There are six areas covering twenty-two competencies. The courses include:

- Empowering Learners
- Facilitating Learners’ Digital Competence
The learning is asynchronous, online, self-guided and involves practical application of knowledge, facilitated by Moodle partners.
Although there is no pre-requisite to enter the course, we recommend some knowledge of Moodle’s functionality before you take the plunge. You can work your way through the Learn Moodle MOOC to gain a basic understanding of how Moodle works.
