A welcome addition to Moodle 5.0 is the new ‘Activities’ tab — giving educators and learners a unified, visual overview of everything happening in a course. This means less confusion, fewer missed deadlines, and more efficient management of learning. No more digging through each section to see what’s due or what needs grading.
For Educators
The Activities tab provides a full list of course activities, grouped by type (e.g. Assignments, Quizzes, Resources). It shows:
- Due dates
- Number of submissions
- Items requiring grading
All with direct links for quick access.
For Learners
Learners benefit from a clear view of their progress. Each item displays:
- Completion status
- Submission status
- Personal due dates
This keeps learners informed and on track, especially in complex courses.
