Martin Dougiamas is the founder and director of the Moodle project since it started, in 2002. There are currently over 80 million registered users in more than 200 countries and 100 languages using the Moodle learning management system.
On 31st March 2016, Martin will receive an honorary doctorate from the Universitat de Vic, Barcelona, Spain, an award which recognises his decisive contribution in the field of education.
The university has created the Thanks Martin website which gives you the opportunity to add a personal message of thanks to Martin.
