A content management system (CMS) is a software program usually implemented as a Web application to publish content on the World Wide Web and intranets. A CMS facilitates content creation, content control, editing, and many essential web maintenance functions. Typically, the CMS provides authoring tools designed to allow users with little or no knowledge of website design to create and manage content with relative ease of use.
