The Mining Industry Skills Centre (Mi-Skills Centre) is a Queensland based, not-for-profit organisation that partners with industry and informs government to maximise the skills of workers in the resources industry to assist in the sustainability of the industry. Initially formed as a collaborative venture between the mining industry and Queensland Government, the charter of the Mining Industry Skills Centre has grown to focus on the whole industry and works with mine-sites across the country on training initiatives. MyLearningSpace is engaged in consultancy with Mi-Skills Centre and advises its team of content developers, to ensure the best possible LMS deployment of web-based Generic Induction courses for trainers and workers involved in the resources industry across Australia. The outcome for Mi-Skills Centre is Australian resources sector clients who can effectively meet their OHS requirements by providing web-based training for their employees.
